Laundry Challenge Appeal
Dear valued NOAH supporter,
Please can you help us raise funds towards the purchase of two new top loader industrial washing machines?
The two washing machines that have faithfully serviced our McNulty communal house and the Selling Seconds shop for many years are on their last ‘legs’ and it is no longer economical to keep on fixing them!
We’ve done our research and an 18kg top loader, at an approximate cost of R8500 each, will be an economical and practical solution. They will be put to very good use.
First, to service the 12 elderly residents at our McNulty home who find it hard to handwash their clothes and bedding at their tender age and stage.
And second, to wash the pre-loved clothes donated to our Selling Seconds Shop. Many of the clothing donations need washing first for them to look their best and realise maximum sales value. Some of our staff have even been taking clothes home to wash – which is unsustainable.
